About Our School.
Lavender Preparatory School was borne out of the belief that our children should be taught good values for character development to enhance their life skills as they grow and navigate their path to take their place in our diverse world.
Our children learn at their pace, through well planned, exciting and structured activities both indoor and outdoor. Using an approach that integrates real-world experiences, our children are equipped with the essential life skills such as independence, communication and social skills, positive values, good self-esteem and confidence. In addition, our after-school programmes (Saturdays inclusive) offers a variety of enrichment programmes to keep young active minds interested and actively engaged. ...
Our vision as a school is to develop and promote the entire wellbeing of children through exciting and creative methods whilst empowering them to take ownership of their learning and reach their full potentials for the 21st century.
We have made it our Mission to continually provide an enabling environment to facilitate continuous growth and self-realization early in life.
Babies (3 months - 18 months)
We do more than care and nurture our babies; we also stimulate and encourage physical and mental growth through a balanced set of activities such as songs, rhymes and simply talking to foster language development. Other activities include music, art and ample opportunity to play and explore their environment.
Pre-school (18 months - 3 years)
Every child deserves a good head start in life and the support that will enable them to attain their potentials.
Children learn through exploring, experimenting and making choices about their play, the adult’s role is to extend children’s play by providing opportunities for further play, which they know will be of interest to the child.
Our aim is to cultivate a child’s natural curiosity for discovery and learning to encourage them to take part in all areas of the curriculum to become confident and competent learners.
Nursery (3 – 4 years)
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is designed to help your child grow in self-esteem and confidence. The curriculum enhances children’s social, language, emotional and physical skills. Children are encouraged to acquire all other skills necessary to make them independent learners.
Reception (4 - 5 years)
Our reception houses a well-balanced class where children are prepared for the next learning journey. A smooth transition is provided with age-appropriate skills and attitude needed for more formal learning in year one (1).
Lower Primary (Key Stage One – Years 1 and 2)
Our primary is an exciting and vibrant place to be. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum based on the English National curriculum. We teach children to connect and collaborate; empowering them to share their unique stories, learn more about the world around them and understand their place through core foundational and special subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Physical Education, History, Geography, Art, Design and Technology, Religious Education, Social Studies, Music and French.
Our Curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which guides the learning and teaching process through a combination of planned child initiated and teacher led activities. This curriculum is based on Seven key areas of learning divided into Prime areas and Specific areas.
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development: Here the child learns how to make and build relationships with his/her peers and teachers, build self-confidence and self-awareness and manage behaviour.

Welcome to Lavender Preparatory School
Lavender Preparatory is an all-inclusive school, providing a rich and varied curriculum that enables every child to succeed. Our aim is to provide an environment where children feel safe, secure and happy.
Children learn best when school and parents work together in partnership to support them in their learning journey, thus we are always happy to meet with parents to discuss their child's progress.
We have high expectations of our children and provide lots of support to help them to achieve potentials. Most importantly, we want them to enjoy school and plan lots of exciting activities across the curriculum to make learning fun. We believe in celebrating our children’s uniqueness and intelligence. Hence rigorous, timely and daily reporting of children’s progress is taken seriously.
Our school values – Integrity, Excellence, Respect, Cooperation and Communication - are embedded in our curriculum and all that we do. We expect our children to treat people with courtesy and relate with them in a friendly and fair manner.
Above all, we take our responsibility to protect and keep children in our care safe, very seriously.
We look forward to welcoming you into the Lavender Preparatory family!
